This week has been an extension of TC healing, moving slow and getting aggravated that she can't do more. I think that is normal after a tough surgery like that. Our sleep schedule is still off a bit, but overall the week has been great. Pretty good week at work. Got some important planning together and setting some summer dates as well, lots of paperwork it seems with two church planters in our association and almost three. Working on the books are no fun but I was glad to finally develop a system that works for me. I am really starting to like Quick Books. Well, our friends Wes and Lisa Byrd came up this weekend. It was great reminiscing with them. Wes and i have been friends since 1986(Army Days) See below Pic. For all these years we have been friends. Our families as close as humanly possible at one time, then for time to seperate us. Kids....They grow up and we all get busy. It was so much fun talking about how crazy our kids are.

Chad is spending the weekend with Christie and David. It looks like we will have take Chad's scooter to Asheville on Monday to be repaired. It is beyond me what is wrong with it. We also need to pick up some furniture for David and Christie. All is well, life is busy and God is good, all the time!

A Busy Day

Saturday was a work day for me. It started at 6:45AM at the office where I finished preparing for the Men's Study on courage at our Band of Brothers Gathering. Then, I prepared breakfast for 10 guys; Livermush, Bacon and Sausage with eggs and fried potatoes. I really enjoyed preparing the meal for the guys.

Then, after that meeting I ran up to Oak Grove church for a 10:00 Meeting to complete the planning for our candlelight service for Unborn children in celebration of Sancity of Human Life sunday. After that meeting i had to go back to the office and make 100 byulletins for the service as well. Tonight my back is hurting and i am pooped out. Forunately, my speaking engagement tomorrow morning was cancelled so now only the Candlelight service for tomorrow.

Busy, but enjoying it.....

As the week comes to a close, it is actually speeding up. This week, we decided on, booked and paid for a Cruise to the Bahama's out of Charleston SC for our 30th Anniversary. We are pretty excited about that. TC continues to heal, but still dealing with pain. Work has progressed well doing some organizing and planning, which my job consist a lot of. Yesterday, we visited Christie and David and had lunch with them at an Asian restaurant. Because of the snow last night, schools are closed so i had to cancel my morning meeting, which has now caused me to work on Saturday. so, I will work around the house to day, then facilitate the Band of Brother's Men's Gathering tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM which means I need to be at the office by 7:00 AM cooking some breakfast meat, eggs etc. Then, into a meeting at 10 for planning the Candlelight service for Unborn Children on Sunday, then creating an order of service and printing it on the special bulletin we purchased, folding and inserting them etc. Gonna be a busy day tomorrow for sure...So, lets just enjoy today!

Rest and Revelation

What a good day of rest for us yesterday was. Not much of doing anything really. I did some reading, watch some football and some friends came over to visit TC  for a little while. I can say honestly that besides TC's sister they were the first to come visit her and it was very good. Chad is enjoying his scooter and continues to look for work, although nothing has popped yet. On Saturday, Chad and I went to New wilderness Adventures Bonfire. It was really good. We had some good talks on sonship of the Father, some mean fajitas and a good stogie. We decided to go on  a cruise in February so we are doing some research for that as well. All is good....

Cooking and Connecting

A couple more days and TC is getting better each day. she is still sore and moving slow but getting better. Chad has helped out a lot around the house and has cooked a meal as well. It's good tohave the help. Today, I am taking him to another doc's visit in H-Ville for his VA claim. Sunday I was able to go to church and decided to go to a local church called Abundant Life Outreach. I love the worship music there....Here are some pics from a few meals

Paths Overflowing

A couple of days have passed and TC is getting better each day. It has been good to have Chad here because he has taken care of his Mom while I get a few errands ran. TC is getting restless, but this is the time that I have to make her remain still and heal. I've been busy cooking, cleaning and fun things, like getting the tires rotated, taking the trash off etc. At least there are a few things getting accomplished. Each night I get more sleep so I feel like I am catching up on much needed rest; the both of us.
  In Chad news, it appears that he will not be able to transfer his probation to Florida, which was his desire. It looks like he will have to finish this up here in NC and go to all of classes and pay his fines. I guess he will stay here, where else will he go. We have enjoyed having here, although it is hard for me to live anyone else but TC. I hope he can find work soon as he needs money.
   Me? Oh I have continued the struggle. My mind is clearly unfocused. That makes sense, right? Yea, I know, it makes no sense, which speaks to where I am. I look to the one side, and my wife is so happy serving those kids at South Mountain, but I look to the other side and I just wanna run. Terrible I am sure, but it is what I feel. It seems that I am always restless. A little over three years and I am becomiong restless. Lord, I'm even thinking of truck driving again. But, I stop and think about it and I want to fulfill what God has called us too. So, for now I have shared my thoughts and will leave it at that. May 2013 be as David describes;

Psalm 65:11-13

New Living Translation (NLT)
11 You crown the year with a bountiful harvest;
    even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.
12 The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture,
    and the hillsides blossom with joy.
13 The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep,
    and the valleys are carpeted with grain.
    They all shout and sing for joy!

Getting Better!!!

We made the move from South Mountain to Spruce Pine and was able to have lunch with David and Christie and Chad. We really enjoyed that New years Day lunch with the kids. Afterwards, we stocked up at Walmart until TC was just so tired she could no longer continue. Her Surgery on Wednesday was a great success, and now she is recuperating at home. At first, they were gonna keep her overnight but decided to allow her to come home. Chad has been a good help to me as I was able to sleep a couple of hours at once while he was up with his Mom. These last couple of weeks with chad has been awesome. I think that right medicine and the fact that he has been around us more has helped him. TC is in a lot of pain but the pain pills helps a lot. I can't wait until the hard pain goes away and then she will be just chilling and resting. All is well, and 2013 had a good start and we are excited to what it holds. 2012 was very hard for us in many different ways. We are hoping that it has prepared us for what God has in store!
