Looking back on some good times...

We had a great thanksgiving feast at Mom and Dad's and enjoyed spending time with my family. It's back to work now as we start another 7 days at Crossnore tomorrow. I came across this video on a flash drive and thought I would post it. This was last summer when we took the boys to the beach camping. All of these boys have gone home now except one, Allan and I do miss him so. It was so hard leaving them but everything changes sooner or later.

Falling Behind

We are doing Chaneover today, meaing we get off around 11:00 this morning. After lunch I have a meeting with the assocation rep of the Baptist State Convention. It's going to be a good day, even though right now I feel 10 miles behind. I will catch up or I may even change directions. This is a new way to deal with stress, forget about it! Well, this has been a great week but it has ended very busy and we have a lot to do in order to leave today, so I better get with it.

Sunday

Had a great time preaching at Jonas Ridge Baptist Church this morning. TC took the girls to Newland First and had Thanksgiving dinner there. I enjoyed a hardee burger. Me and the girls cleaned the gym this afternoon and I also watched the race. Nice going Jimmy Johnson. My man Mark Martin was second. Winding down tonight and getting ready for Monday. What's crazy is that just as soon as I cancelled my Internet card it started working here at the house at Crossnore. Their Internet will not let me get on blogger or face book. Oh well!

Marshmellows and Campfires

What a day....Worked in the office this morning. After lunch we did food pickup and then picked the girls up from school. I drove around the county, 47 miles taking pictures of the churches to be posted on the web page one day. Sad part is I only got 7 churches so far. Many miles yet to go. Tonight we are taking the girls to a campfire and roast marsh mellows and have a sing time. Tomorrow we have to go the mall after lunch in Boone. Tomorrow tonight I will be attending the WMU Pastors Banquet and Sunday morning I will be preaching at Jonas Ridge Baptist Church. It's been a very busy week but a great one. Check in later

Two Places at One time?

Back in the office this morning. It's been a great week so far with the girls at Crossnore. Tuesday, we went to their basketball game in Morganton NC. It was 11:40 PM before all of them got home. Late night indeed! We has some great training on Wednesday from a godly woman on sexual abuse and how to help kids cope with that. It was god training but hard to handle as well. What a terrible thing. I fixed hot dogs for supper last night because TC has to take one girl to have an e-ray of her elbow. One of the thing that is hard to deal with is that we have decided that i am to never be alone with just one girl, so we have to adjust some things at times. It is still hard to balance moving up here and the two jobs I have. I am waiting on God to lead me in a decision for the coming new year. Remain at both or just focus on one. I feel my age sometimes when I need to be in two places at once. god will let us know. I should be in the office today and tomorrow and we have an outing with the girls on Saturday. I will be preaching next Sunday so TC will have to take the girls to church by herself, no problem. That's all for now.

Moving and a Major Crash

Since we got off last Tuesday, we have fully moved to our new house in Elk Park NC. It was very rainy and muddy but the job is done. Working in the office today and Mom and Dad are coming up for the weekend for a visit. Perhaps one day I can start blogging more often, but right now there just is not enough time. Our new house is TV and Internet free and it is going to stay that way. Two of our computers have crashed and only the old laptop is working. God is blessing and we are looking forward to the weekend. All for now.....

A better week indeed!

Oh, the difference in boys and girls has been awesome. The girls are so quiet and their rooms are so clean. This has been a good week. Getting plenty of time in at the office this morning. Can't wait to get off next Tuesday though and finish moving into our new house. TC has been sick but she is feeling better today. I hope to get the blazer out of the shop tomorrow too. It needed brakes and the heater fixed. Well that's about all.

The First Cup

First cup of joe is always the best....It's moving day, or at least move what we have up here now. It was nice to have the Prophets Chamber, or very small apartment here at the association office. If anyone is coming our way, let me know and I can hook you up in a room for two . Can fit one small child on the love seat. Be sure to call first though.

A Great Day

Great day at Beech Mountain. A great couple took us out to lunch at Shirly's near Hampton Tenn., came back to the apartment and took a nap, now going to church at Minneaoplis to hear Pastor Brian. A good day indeed! Moving in to our new house tomorrow.....
