Well House & Windows

So, I'm working on the last window that needs the trim and ledge replaced. This one is giving me a few more problems for sure, but I'm getting there.

TC wanted a well house, so I found one. I was going to build it, but found this one for $75. Most of is made from either old pallets and then the fence boards from Lowes. I will stain it and see what she thinks when she gets home.

This bush gets me every year. I love it

As always, I love watching the dogs play.

I'm in my 2nd of three days off and loving it. I could use to this really fast. The dogs love it too. It is easier because TC is still gone. She comes home October 29th. We have not talked in a few days but I am sure she is enjoying herself. We have never been able to talk on the phone much.

Griddles & Trim

Got a griddle. I have always wanted one. I've been watching some video's on how to cook with these. I didnt get the Blackstone, too much money, but we will see how this one holds up. It does have some pretty good reviews.

Yesterday, I added an outlet to the front side of the house. This was the one ran out to the shed, however, the ground stopped working so it was dead in the shed. I hate that, but this way we have another outlet outside. This is part of wha could be a 30 A 220 V line. I am only one side of it, 110 for now.

Just kills me when they wrestle and plays with the same toy. These two were made for each other.

Another project done. The bathroom window was done by the guy that did the bathroom remodel, but he didn't do it right, then told TC that I said it was good. The window trim was too short and we didn't like it. So, I had tu make some different angle cuts for this one, but I thought it came out great. Natural finish stain.

Notice the casing that now comes to each end of the window and a actual ledge.

Well, back to my 2 day shift at work. This week, my partner, who is a Supervisor, is on the QRV, so I will be working with an EMT-A for the next 2 days.

Doctors & Dog Parks

This is Jackson strumming and singing. He was singing traveling soldier for me. Pretty good too.
After working 63 hours in 4 days, I was so tired Sunday night. I worked 24 Thursday night and Friday and did not get off Friday until 10 PM. Both Saturday and Sunday I got off late and I was just done. Everything and everyone got on my nerves. I'm getting old I reckon.

Monday morning I went to the VA in Asheville and got blood work. Then, me and the dogs hit Sonic for breakfast and then to the dog park. This is our favorite one and I was glad that there were other dogs there. The dogs had a blast. Then, a 11 AM annual check up and we were headed back home by Noon. I so appreciate the Asheville VA.

Dirty feet

OK, this last picture is Benji and this Pic was in SC when we were at Collins Home. This would have been around 2008. Gosh I loved that dog. He was so special!!!!!!!! I still miss him almost daily.

Lights and Lumbar

Getting some lumber at Grassy Creek.

Yes, they went too and had to make it known.

Just so blessed to get to hang out for two days. I really enjoyed my time off.

This was my project. New ledge above the sink. Then, all new framing around the dining room window.

What an incredible sunset with the lit cross up at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. This cross reminds me every night and morning of God's Love for me.

Flight & Feelings

Another day of work. Actually, overall it was a fairly slow day, which is good for us and the patients. We got tickled, because here is MAMA 1 on the ground at Blur Ridge and there was a cloud in the sky. We make fun sometimes when they won/t fly because of clouds. Anyway, good day. Talked with TC. She was resting at Andy and Jill's house, (David's parents). She is enjoying herself. Baily & Brody got into a pillow yesterday, and yes, they tore it to pieces. I'll have to do better at putting things up..

Today and tomorrow I am off so I am gonna enjoy spending time with the dogs and doing a lot of chores. I have a pretty long list of honey do's. For my sake, I will list what I do today, tomorrow.

I continue to do my daily devotion with Justin and WIRE ministries. I also ordered a new book from Pastor Jefferies on a verse by verse study of the book of Revelation.

Missing Her & Making Memories

These dogs...

So, yes, she does not always like me taking pics...Haha. We stopped by a great place in Marion NC on the way to the airport in Charlotte. It was hard watching her go this time but I know she will enjoy the grandkids.

After dropping TC off, I spent the night with Mom. The next morning, we enjoyed coffee and conversation. I attempted to repair he rails around her deck, or at least strengthen them.

On the way back home from Mom's. It kills me how these two get along.

Friday night lights. I did the standby at the Mitchell Football game.

This pic represents that we have now cleaned and checked everything out on the camper. Everything works as it should.
So, I worked Saturday night in Ashe and was able to rest all day yesterday. It rained most of the day and I found one small leak on the canvas of the camper which will be easily fixable. Today, its back to work.

Breaks & Broken Down

At Blue Ridge, broke down Highlands 2 - Actually, they had to turn it off and it would not start back. Bad starter. Just reminds you that they break down too.

Autumn, bless her heart...She shot me a bird cause I was giving her a hard time.

Love these two pics of me and Bailey and me and Chad at the beach.

We really do love our home. We are blessed!!!

Shot of the sun coming up on my way to work.

Yesterday, flew out a stroke. First time flying a stroke and me, not my partner could get a line. Also, no First Responders, so we just had to do it and Highlands 1 landed on her own at the Buladean school.

That's all today. Last day working until next Monday. Looking forward to a good break.

Broken Trail Post

Excerpt from Robert Jefferies, FBC Dallas Called to be Courageous Devotional

Take courage. That’s God’s message, His call for you and me. In a
world of viruses and pandemics, take courage. In a world of war
and death, take courage. In a culture ignoring absolute truth,
take courage. In your office, classroom, or home, take courage.
When you go to bed and when you rise, take courage. Our God has
overcome the world....

OT -Joshua 1:9 NKJV

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

NT- I Corinthians 16:13 NKJV

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

My thoughts: In this world, what does it mean to be strong, to stay strong and be bold? I mean, do we have to stand on the street corner and holler at the top of pour lungs, get in somebody’s face? No, I don’t think so. Does it mean that we are to stand bold against the hypocrisy and just pure negative and hateful spirit we see in churches today? (Not all churches) No, I don’t think that is it either; I feel convicted and I am convinced that it means to stand up for what is right. More specifically what God’s Word says. What is God saying to us? Has He suggested or has He commanded that you dive into a ministry our project He is calling you into. Let’s pray for each other to be Bold, Stand Fast, Take Courage, Be Brave & Strong!

Titles, Pals & Bacon

I know I share way too many pics of these two, but they sure are pals.

Why? Well, this BLT is from P & R, in Ledger near the Medic base and it was delicious. Plenty of Bacon, good mater and just the right amount of lettuce, plus they use Duke's mayonnaise.

I sent this to my partner, the irony of it all is that he works for both.

Here is another pic of the dogs. While they have enough room to separate, Brody has to be touching Bailey somewhere. .

And now finally here is a pic of the new camper. We are in the process of cleaning it right now and then stocking it with our stuff. Our last camper was so big and we have to get ri of quite a bit. Anyway, will share some pics later one.

We have worked hard these last few days. We picked up the new camper on Wednesday. A little trouble, we went to the DMV and then had to go to Asheville so we could get an instant Title. Backstory- When the seller bought the camper, he never put it in his name, I guess hoping to avoid the charges, but that did not happen. He had to pahy as much as I did. It pays to do it right first.
