Fords & Factory

I am so blessed to have a truck I really like. It is a factory Powerstroke 6.0 and it is used to pull our camper. I have added a few after market items but the engine is completely factory.

Grass & Gas

Once a year our church is tasked with cutting the grass at the Ashe Baptist Campground. As always, we had a blast and did a great job. We had a great turnout.

Rescue Day

As part of my Paramedic class, we chose repelling and rescue training. Of course i did not do it because, well, I didn't want to. I did a lot of repelling in the Army and also Rescue training when I worked as a full time Fireman. I really enjoyed watching everyone, some for the first time, others who was really experienced.

National Cemetery Salisbury NC

I have a church member who is a PT at the Salisbury VA and after visiting we rode through the cemetery and i have to say I was just overwhelmed. Holy Ground!!!

Radio

Every few months I get the privilege of recording "Thought for the Day" on WKSK 580 the Farm. I have gotten so much response from this. It is a joy to do and I always try to be interesting and provide thoughtful content.

Zero Day

Today was a Zero day, meaning I didn't get much accomplished. TC and I rode up in Virginia to Grayson Highland State Park, then went to check out some other campgrounds north up 16. We made it to Hungry Mother State Park near Marion NC. Nice place! I want to camp up at Possum Branch campground soon.

Yes, I stopped and "hiked" on the AT for about 50 feet. To know that I stood where so many thru hikers walked in all the books I read.

I came home and watched the race and worked in the camper a little bit.

More Family time

Here are a few pics left over from our family pics, family get together and sown on the River before Christie and David had to return to england. Sure gonna miss those grand babies. It's so hard to see them go!
