Dangerous Discovery

Back in March when things were getting pretty bad, a decision was made to allow Samaritans Purse to set up a field hospital in Central Park New York City. This makes sense, it is an organization that readily has the equipment and manpower. They respond to all sorts of disasters and emergencies. They are certainly qualified to do so. They also love the Lord and they remain committed to the gospel. So, all those tents and support staff, along with the doctors and nurses doing so much good. But none of that matters because they do not go along with the ideologies of the LBQT (and whatever letters they are using today) they are hate mongers. This week saw protests of many kinds, but also one that included some people standing outside the field hospital with sings that read, “Help not hate”.
Franklin Graham is quoted saying, “We do not make distinctions about an individual's religion, race, sexual orientation, or economic status," he stated. "We certainly do not discriminate, and we have a decades-long track record that confirms just that."
A banner in front of one of the support trailers stated this, “Stop the Hate”.

We just live in sad times, and the way Samaritans Purse responded just makes me support them that much more. It just goes to the bigger picture of how intolerable this world is of the gospel and Christians who stick to their principles. Honestly, this just makes me sad.

Sunday morning thoughts

It's Sunday morning and I am sitting here thinking about a lot of things. Because of Covid 19 we will have another online church which can be found here

This is frustrating. This will be our  6th week of online church. Of course, there is always good and bad in everything and much that we will see from this is s till to be seen. In other words, we really don't know how the future will be after this, but God does.

During this time I have tried calling many of our folks and I know that our deacons have as well. Everyone seems to be handling this the best they can. Personally, I have worked a few shifts during this time at Ashe Medics. It is pretty tough to respond to a  call that the PT may have or at least has 2 symptoms. We have to wear our masks, gloves, googles or face shields and gowns, or rain gear. All that depends on the severity of the symptoms.

Speaking of EMS, at this point I have passed all my tests and I am a NC certified Paramedic. The only thing I have to do is to Board under each county I would work in. In Ashe County that would be with Joe Lecroe. I would receive 3 different scenarios and of course would have to get the major things perfect and have a good general understanding of what I'm doing and what the body reactions are. That should happen in a few weeks.
