Life= Experience

Oh the experiences we have in life! Wikipedia describes experience as "Experience as a general concept comprises knowledge of or skill of something or some event gained through involvement in or exposure to that thing or event.[1] ". Pretty good when you think about. Here are some thoughts

Skill

Events

Involvement

Exposure

Applying this to the Christian life referred here and by me as "the walk", we can see how our experiences have shaped us and molded us. These experiences have not happened by accident. Let's dig deeper in that: Listen to Romans 5: 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: The word here Experience means "trials, approved and tried character". WOW!!! Experience turns into character. In other words our experiences make us who we are. We were designed to experience life. God desires for us to have different experiences so that our character will be built, thus building our hope.

Life= Expectation

....and life continues. Each day seems to bring something new. Life really is amazing. To think that God would give us chance after chance for something new. Each day brings a fresh start. I love going to bed wore out and wake up refreshed, although as I get older I am not as energized in the mornings as I once was. Life is like God's forgiveness. In fact, life to me is God's forgiveness. Each day is new, and each time after I am forgiven I feel so fresh and new. I entertained this thought months ago: LIFE: Living In Full Expectation. It's something that I have thought a lot about. At some point and time in your life you realize that worrying about the small stuff only wastes your time and your reliance and dependence upon and in God grows.

So, with that in mind I am going post some things and this post in an introduction. first up is Expectation. I believe that we were created to Walk with God each day and it is in that walk that we Experience life. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

That word ordained means prepared. God prepared great and might things for you and I. So, therefore walk in that preparation and through that God would be glorified.  Expect to Experience life today.

Adventure and the Zoo

There are times when things seem sure. In fact, life as we know it is filled with uncertainty  Today, we set out on an adventure that we know not the outcome, but we are confident in the things that we are sure of. We can be sure of God's Plan-God's Provisions- God's Purpose-God's Principles- God's and God's Protection.

Yesterday we drove down to Asheboro to the NC Zoo. We love that place, plus we got to spend the day with our Grandson John. He is such a beautiful well behaved boy. Here are some pics from that.

Working on the house

Went with TC today for her last doctors appointment from her surgery  All is Well!!! Came home and worked on the house today as we continue to use the board and bat style for our siding.

Tomorrow I will be in study most of the day and also working on some upcoming events. Good day to working inside as they are calling for rain and storms. Thankfully we missed the rain today and it was a good day to work outside. All for now........

Double Blessed

Back in the work phase today. Meetings this morning and this evenings makes for a long day. Living blessed to be for sure!

Back from the Beach

Well, after the quote for the roof repair, we decided to put the camper on Craigslist and it was sold by 8:00 PM that night. Amazing..God's timing is amazing. We have had such an awesome time with the camper that Mom and Dad gave us a while back. We are blessed!

Sunday Worship was good as well. Great sermon and awesome view as we song praises to God while hearing the Ocean

Blessings, Babies and the Beach

The Semi annual went good and I really enjoyed the preaching and fellowship. Pastor Bill McGuire brought the message. The next night we were at Powdermill baptist Church where Pastor Allan Laws brought the message. Both nights were great...

We decided to leave for the beach on Wednesday. First, we stopped by Mom and Dad's house to visit our Grandson John and his Mom.

We are at the beach right now and enjoying the time down here.

The weather is nice although we got the heavy storms last night. We observed a leak in the camper, but could do nothing to stop it. We are drying out today and as soon as it drys outside I will re-caulk the seems.
All is well.

Mowing and Marriage

Well, I am now finished with all the work at the office. Numbers add up, copies were made, bulletins are copied, folded and ready to be handed out. Looking forward to next Monday's meeting of the Semi-Annual associational Meeting. Today, I think this week caught up with me as I am just tired. So, I guess we are resting a little this morning, then going to work out in the yard. The sun is shining and I really need to get one of the mowers to running. It is a beautiful day!
  Tc and I continue on our Love Dare journey and it is amazing the things we are leaning. I wished we had this when we were younger. Our desire to fellowship with older mature couples is growing and so is the desire to mentor younger couples. With all that is going on right now, we will need to wait and see what God will do with that........All for now

An Unfinished Life

Pretty happy with what we accomplished Wednesday. We got about half of the wall finished. We decided to spend some extra time on the window trim. Thursday, we met at Cracker Barrel in Boone with some special new friends. We went back to the office and worked the afternoon, then came home. It was so cold and rainy most of the day, with bit of snow and freezing rain. Last night we watched a movie called, "An Unfinished Life". It was awesome.

Today is another day in the office planning and preparing for the Spring Meeting. Looking forward to this weekend and the warmer temps. 

Vets, Vittles and Victory

The weather has turned colder, bummer! We are so ready for warmer temps, but I know we have to take it as it comes. This week we are busy with the final plans for the Semi- Annual meeting for the Avery Baptist Association. With ending the half year out on the books and reporting that takes some time for all the numbers and decimal points to be in the right place. Running the bulletins for the meeting this week too, as well as finishing the last details of the meeting.
 On Tuesday I was at the VA all day for my Pre-Op. On april 30th i will have a Scope done on my right knee to repair a torn meniscus. The Pre-op actually lasted longer than the surgery will. The best thing about being down there is hanging out with the best people in the world, Veterans. all kinds; Vietnam  Korea era, and a few WWII Vets. There are so many younger vets there from the Golf wars and of course Afghanistan.
Anyway,  they say I should be on crutches for a day or so, then within a week or so I will never even know I had the surgery  Either way, it's gotta be done. This will take place April 30th. When we got home last night we were so tired, but TC fixed some of the best spaghetti i have ever had.
   Today, my buddy Matt is coming over and we are going to work on the back wall of the house putting some Board & Bat siding on. I picked today because the sun is suppose to be shining. Other things in my life are progressing, and TC and I have a joy that is indescribable and will be able to share about that later. all for now.....
