EMS WEEK

This week we are celebrating EMS Week. We have had door prizes each day at work, donated by local businesses'. 

We placed a unit at Spruce Pine Fire Dept for the Water day for 2nd graders. 

On this day, I actually had to run a call. Not too much but I got to start a line and hang some fluids. 

BRRH was have a EMS cookout and when we arrived, here comes Avery and Yancey. Everyone agreed, we just had to get this shot. 

Later MAMA Ground showed up. These are the four services that you will find at BRRH. Could not have planned that any better. 

Mission gave us all this handy little kit with a multi-tool and a light. 

Later, TC fixed Meatloaf and it was good. 

The whole reason I had this overhang added, is to place the Jeep and mower under it. It's also nice to get out of the sun or the rain. Eventually, I am going to add sides. 

Yesterday was TC's doctor day. One in Boone and one in Charlotte. It was a very long day!  

 

Building & Breaks

So, one day I had this idea. I need a place to park the Jeep and the lawnmower. 

My neighbor Paul was asked if he was interested in doing this, and he was. 

We are so happy with the result. 

Thankfully, after two weeks on Market Place, the old camper sold and has a new home in Tenn. 

Which reminds us of how blesses we are. 

The flowers are very nice and TC hard work is paying off. 

Always have to get a pic of the VA unit. 

More Stroke training at MM. 

In the last 3 weeks, we have made two trips to the beach, in two different campers. More training at MM , more staff additions and just busy busy busy. 

We enjoyed another Mothers Day at my sisters house. Again, I watched TC celebrate another Mothers Day without her kids. Chad sent a lovely gift. 

So, now after 2 months at Director of Mitchell Medics, I stop and think on some changes and challenges we have faced. 

Low morale and staff shortage. trust, pay and retention. A change in transports, now truck deployment. Lots of challenges, but so far so good. More on that later. 

I just enjoyed a full 2 1/2 days off and we were able to get caught up on a lot of work around the house. We finally got the new camper cleaned and loaded...and ready to go! 

 

Training at Mitchell Medics

We hosted training for the County First Responders last Monday. It was a great turn out and everyone enjoyed it. 

 

Campers & Campers

Well, we purchased a new camper while we were down at the beach, causing us to fit in a another beach run this past weekend. I took Friday off and ran down to Florence SC, completed paperwork, then went to Loris SC and picked it up, then took off the Lakewood. 

We were able to catch a beach front site and absolutely loved it. Flat and with pavers. 

What a beautiful sunrise Saturday morning. 

Even TC got up and enjoyed it. 

Later Saturday, we found a great Dog park that is HUGE. It use to belong to the Air Force base before they closed it. 

The dogs loved it but got so dirty, we went to Tractor Supply and they got baths for $9 a piece.

They were pooped out. 

Standing on the dune crosswalk, looking back at the camper. So close to the ocean, we could just sit outside and hear the waves break. It was awesome!!! 

Getting Fuel on the way home. Long drive for a short trip. 

Hwy 226 on the way home. A quick stop to stretch. 

Overall a great trip. Hoping to head down to Buch Creek in June. 

Now we need to sale this one!!!
