Chaplain- ACSO

It has been my honor to serve as the Chaplain of Ashe County Sheriff's Office since 2014 when we started working on this ministry. Many people were crucial to beginning this ministry. In 2019 this became a paid part time position and I have done my best to give as much as possible. After talking to the Sheriff and considering my time constraints, I have effectively resigned as paid chaplain so that the Sheriff can search for a person that can fulfill the position of chaplain to the maximum hours allowed. I believe the ministry will grow because of this and I believe this is God's will. I will continue to serve as a volunteer chaplain as needed.  We have created a great ministry and groundwork for the next person.
We have a great office provided by ACSO and it is located in the intake area of the jail. The office serves the not only the inmates but the deputies and staff of the ACSO.
Sheriff Howell has been awesome and provided unmatched leadership for the Sheriff's office. He has placed the right people in the right positions. I have so enjoyed serving in this capacity. The relationships will not be forgotten and I look forward to continuing them as I am able.

Tough Times & loving Thoughts

It's been a tough few weeks. We have been running from Ashe to Cleveland County trying to be with Mom and Dad as much as possible. Our church, WBC, has been amazing. Daddy has now been admitted to Hospice and now we are just waiting for him to receive his eternal reward. We have had plenty of snow the last bit, so ready for Spring. Honestly, I am just trying to hang on. God has been good to provide some good messages these few weeks.

Brudgha has been sick and he may have a tumor. We hope not, but as of today, he still sick.

Warrensville Fire has finished with our new Tanker. It looks awesome!!!

Had the honor of preaching Mark Wiest's service. A retired preacher that has been at our church since we came here in 2013.
