Outdoor Kitchen door repaired
My outdoor kitchen door was in bad shape and had become unsupportable. So, my friend Jimmy Osborne was able to repair it and it is literally a new door. Yippie!!!!!
Look at the difference.......WOW
R&R
Took a few days off for some R&R. It was really needed, as I have had little time off since this Pandemic began back in March. We stayed at a little place in Cherokee. We had not been there in a long time. It was nice though...

Another Picnic
This was up at Mt Rogers. We stopped by Country House in Lansing on the way up and got some sandwiches and enjoyed sitting beside the creek for a while.
Around the Parsonage
This year it has been mostly me working in the yard. TC has always been able to make everything so nice, but she has taken interest in the flowers again this year. That is good. I look around and I think everything is looking pretty good.
FD Training
This past Friday night we had some training at the Fire Dept. We were able to burn a house what was only about 10 years old. The land had become part of a large land conservation project and they allowed us to burn it for training. As usual, I spent my time on the engine. We took 3 trucks and I looped all three together, allowing two of the trucks to keep the main engine full. We used all the water we had that night. It was good training.

Black Lives Matter Protest in West Jefferson
So, this happened last Saturday. Everything went off very well with no problems. Folks were respectful and there was no issues. LEO was ready for just about anything, and as the Chaplain, I had planned to be there anyway, but the Chief Deputy asked me to be the Medic for the deputies and officers along with coordinating with Ashe Medics for response with he 2 trucks they had on standby, if the occasion called for it. I am thankful that it did not.
Caution: Men working
A few problems with the well here at the parsonage, but of course it is fixed now. Thanks guys
