Sunsets

This 3 day break was very good. Finished up the Pantry on Friday and wow, I was tired and sore. I worked on some house cleaning Saturday and redid some trim work in the dining room. Then, I went to work at 3 PM, for a standby event in Spruce Pine. Slight problem- The county got so busy, we had to leave our post and respond to a wreck on Iron Mtn. Dude broke his leg and I had to take him to Johnson City.  THEN, on the way back, we had to respond to a Cardiac Arrest off Hwy 80 and arrived on scene first. No Lucas device, just old timey CPR. I was the only Medic on scene until Garry arrived with the Lucas. This was a tough one. 

What an incredible sky as I wait for my 3 day break. 

These dogs I swear...Sunday, I finished up some house work and me and the boys visited Mom and then picked up TC at the airport in Charlotte. 

Well, it's back to work now. I was just thinking last night in a full moon, I am very happy with the life God has blessed us with. 

 

Pantry

Pantry build. Finally, I tore out the old pantry and replaced the wood to match the house. I personally think it looks great.

I'm so thankful for my tools. Last year when all this started, I knew I had to buy some tools. I am so glad I did and they have worked well. 

 

Fellowship

Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV  24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

This passage just hit different this morning. The one thing I do not have is good man to man, and couple to couple fellowship. I know TC feels the same. I just don't know where to get this. Sure, I get some fellowship from some of the guys at work, but not much. It is too vulgar at Mitchell Medics. 

I need stirred and I need to stir another. As Scripture says, as we see the approaching. 

Frames & Friends

I know, we are worse than doting parents, but I just cannot help it. These two are brothers and best friends. 

One of the things TC wanted me to do is to build a rustic frame for a picture she drew over 20 years ago. This is my first attempt. 

So, overall I am pleased. The picture is a little off on the left side, which caused the wood to be off, so I need to fix that, if I can. I left the trim off the top, so I could have a piece of glass cut, or would be able to lift the painting out of the frame. 

Just one more. So, today is my last day working before TC gets home, and I am ever so glad. This has been tough on the dogs and me. But, we did it. I will pick TC up this coming Sunday. 

 

THE GRANDS

TC has been in England for the past 5 weeks and now she has one week left. Of course she hardly takes any pics of herself, but here are just a few of the grands and one of Christie. I have so many thoughts on this, that perhaps I may need to write about later.

Coming out the ER, saw another of God's Promises.

So, walked out of the ER and saw this. Amazing!!! So, I worked Thursday night and kept going on a reverse 24 for Friday. Now I have Saturday and Sunday left on this rotation. WE had some bad calls Friday. A Combative PT that I had to give versed to, a trauma pt that had a very heave rack fall on him. Turns out that nothing was broke and no head injury. Goad now that I did not fly him. Then, another cardiac pt that it was tough to interpret his EKG and I came close to missing some significant changes in his ST elevation. Anyway, it turned out fine. 

 

Wow & Work

It's uncanny how these two are with each other. They are Connected. 

So, after my 3 day break, I can say that I have rested well, (Boy I needed it too), visited Mom, and got a few things done. I ordered TC and new ceiling fan, and it arrived broken. So, I am returning it and just went down to Lowes and bought her another one. Hopefully she will like it OK. Well, back to work. 

 

Haircuts &

So, the boys got haircuts yesterday and they are pretty short, but they will not get as dirty now. They did good, and afterwards, they got 2 new toys and some chicken nuggets. 

While they were gone, I did some house cleaning and put up some blinds in the dining room. Pretty much just enjoyed the day. Well, its off for a 3 day run at work. 

 

Reasons & Riding

Working on the house yesterday, this bug was just on my arm. I call it a Creepy Crawler, but I don't know what it is. It bit me and then it would cling to me. It is different for sure. 

Finished up the bedroom window. This was became a little tricky. Nothing is square and some older wood had to be removed. But, none the less, that is the last window to be retrimmed. 

After working outside a bit, I went riding in the Jeep. I hate I could not take the dogs, but I don't think I can hang on to two of them. 

It was a good day. It was warm but good. The dogs got to play outside for a while, I talked to Chad for a bit and just enjoyed a good day off. Today, I was suppose to go to Warrensville Homecoming, but I just did not feel like going. I decided to go down and visit Mom instead. There are deeper reasons why I don't won't to go, but for now I'll miss seeing everyone but just not in the mood.
