Today's Thought

 Today's thought; As we continue to consider a house church, or simple church, my thoughts was taken to Matthew 18:19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. (20)  For where two or three gather together as my followers,[fn] I am there among them.”

I am thinking that TC and I must agree in Jesus name in order to move forward. So, my prayer is that God will lead us to at least one other person that may have some of these thoughts as well. I have started just writing down some ideas that might help us as we move forward. These thoughts are outlines in my mind in a phrase that I have used before but that continues to come to mind; Gather, Grow, Give, Go.

Last night before bedtime, the dogs were very cute with TC. We sure love them. 

 

Simple church

 This will be an ongoing story. This is our story. Church, we have been involved with church for along time, but that is not important right now. This post is to introduce our future plans. Simple church. It really is that simple. As simple as we would like it. 

Currently, we are sharing thoughts with each other. I will also share here some thoughts at a later date. What I don't want to do is to lay down all my thoughts and start building something from that. Right now, TC and I need to get serious about praying daily about this possible journey.

Boy, that's a few years ago. Kids were small and that is at Disney or Carowinds. 

Well, after a 3 day run at work I am tired. We had a code, which I was able to get a great tube on and a few other involved calls. How, its Monday and I enjoying my morning coffee. Grocery PU, picking up some wood boxes for Garden work and then it will be down to Mom's for a visit. 

Napping & Thinking

So, me and the dogs took a nap and when I woke up, this is what I found. These boys are so loving, but they are so jealous of one another. 

Cuteness overload 

We both have felt nauseated most of yesterday and it seems like it is continuing today. The weather is really wet and muddy. We got a few things accomplished yesterday, but not a lot. As they say, our got up and go, got up and went. That's OK, we need days like this sometimes. One thing we like to do when its raining, is watch Heartland. 

We absolutely love this show. Actually, we are on our second time around. It's clean and the story lines are good, but the horses and the views are incredible. 

Found out that another Medic is looking to leave. It seems like the boat is sinking. It starts at the top, and change is probably going to have happen. Well, I reckon I will just hang in there. Hard to believe but I can retire in 2 years. 

 

Wishing & Weather

Enough already, I am ready to go camping. We have only used this one one time and we absolutely loved it. It only weighs about 6000 pounds. It can be pulled with a 150/1500 very easy, but my 6.0 F250, truly, you can hardly tell it is back there. I feel much better pulling this one. 

Our last camper was almost 11,000 lbs and it was a chore to pull. Finally, we decided to store it at Lakewood, which we loved, but it limited us camping more around here. 

That being said, we are heading to Lakewood in April and we can't wait to get these boys out on the beach. 

Tough couple of days at work. I worked with a non medic, so that means I pretty much treat everything. Being a paramedic means dong that sometimes. Some agencies, that it the normal. A couple bad calls and I was really tired when I got home. I am going to enjoy these two days off.

Work- It's getting worse. Numerous folks are looking to leave and waiting to find out about their interview at other places. We could lose up to 4 or 5 medics in th next few months. That will be bad. What happened? Well, interpersonal relationships, within the company that I cannot talk about. Some people did something they should have not. That always happens. I guess we will see.

Snow & Study

This past Friday and into Saturday, we had some snow and very cold Temps. 

Finally took the dogs at the same time and let them play. 

Afterwards, Bailey wanted to cuddle. 

I love this dog so much.

Today, Sunday I am finishing up a 3 day break and I have loved it and I needed it. I have worked a LOT the last few weeks. I have also spent the last few days studying Matthew 13. In V 1-3 I saw folks standing on the shore listening & learning from Jesus, who was teaching from the boat. good stuff

 

Training

Training at Mitchell Medics. This was a STEMI update and the focus was to obtain a 12 lead EKG within 5 minutes of our on scene time. 

David, our Assistant Director, provided Mickey D's breakfast for us. It was right on time. 

 

Ashe Medics

Today I worked 14 hours in Ashe County and of course it was a snow day. Roads got tough and dangerous for a good while. Finally, I was relieved and made it home safely.
